DİSPEROL® ST20

Disperol® ST20 – It is a glycol ether with excellent surface tension reducing and coalescence properties. It is a relatively slowevaporating solvent and is an effective coalescent in aqueous systems.

Scope of application

  • For latex-based adhesives, as a coalescent in aqueous construction paints and industrial coatings;
  • As a binder and solvent in industrial and household cleaners, rust removers, and cleaning of metal and very dirty surfaces;
  • As the primary solvent in solvent based printing inks;

Advantages

  • It is an effective coalescing agent to reduce the minimum film formation temperature (MFFT) in latex-based aqueous coatings;
  • Evaporation rate is low;
  • Contributes to the formation of high quality latex film;
  • It migrates to the polymer phase to a high degree;

Dosage

Disperol® ST20 can generally be added at an amount of 0.2-1.0% of the total mass of the watercolor.

Application

Koalesan Disperol® ST20 should be added after the mineral fillers and pigments have been added and dispersed into the aqueous medium.

Compatibility with other additives

Disperol® ST20 is compatible with most of the various additives used in water-based paints.

Warning

The composition of the paint and the dosage of the additive should be determined by laboratory tests.

Packaging

Additive bulk can be supplied. Additionally, it is possible to supply in the following ways:
In a 30 L canister;
In 200 L plastic barrel;
In 1000 L IBC tank.

Storage and expiration date

It should be stored at temperatures between -15°С and +30°С. The expiration date is 12 months from the date of production in the original closed packaging under the specified storage conditions.

Security measures

When applying Disperol® ST20, it is necessary to use protective clothing, gloves, glasses and masks and comply with industrial safety rules. Direct contact with eyes and skin should be avoided during storage and use. In case of swallowing, seek medical help immediately. It should be kept away from food.
